Desuperheater Advantages
Compact designs
| Graham's Steam-Atomizing (SA), Single-Venturi (SV-2), and Double-Venturi (SV-1)
styles are available in a variety of configurations to reduce your costs or easily fit
into your existing piping. |
 |
Standard SA desuperheaters include a replaceable steam-atomizing nozzle, water and
atomizing steam piping, a pipe body, and internal nozzle supports. The atomizing nozzle
is easily removable.
|
| T-mount SA devices are designed to slide into a tee. They include a replaceable
steam-atomizing nozzle, water and atomizing steam piping, and a blind flange. This
nozzle is also easily removable. |
 |
 |
Standard SV-2 desuperheaters include a venturi water nozzle, water piping, a pipe
body, and internal nozzle supports. This design is easily removable. |
| T-mount SV-2 units are designed to slide into a tee. They are comprised of a
venturi water nozzle, water piping, and a blind flange. This design is also easily
removable. |
 |
 |
Wafer-Style SV-2 units are "sandwiched" between two flanges. Components include a
venturi water nozzle, water piping, and a flat, doughnut-shaped wafer. The nozzle
is centered in the wafer, with supports to hold it in place. |
| Double-Venturi SV-1 desuperheaters rely on two venturis for successful operation –
the nozzle venturi and the body venturi. These designs are installed directly
in between two standard flanges. No special piping items are necessary.
